Mike L. Vinson, CPA/ABV/CFF, Macc
Prior to joining Field, Vinson & Associates CPAs, RLLP, Mike was Director of Business Valuation and Litigation Support at Sink, Gillmore & Gordon LLP, a regional public accounting firm in Kansas. He began his career in public accounting in 1996.
Mike provides business appraisal and litigation support services. He has extensive experience in business appraisals for estate tax, gift tax, purchases, sales and litigation purposes. He has been involved as an expert witness and provided testimony in many litigation cases, primarily for divorce cases.
In addition to the above, Mike provides tax compliance, tax research and tax planning services. Mike was previously involved in the securities industry, and assists with financial planning.
Mike earned a B.S. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from Kansas State University in 1995 and remained to earn a Masters of Accountancy in 1996. He is licensed in both Wyoming and Kansas, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA.
Mike obtained status as Accredited in Business Valuation, ABV, from the AICPA in 2000. He subsequently received the Certified in Financial Forensics designation in 2008 from the AICPA.
Mike is the former treasurer for the Manhattan Habitat for Humanity in Manhattan, Kansas. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Youth Leadership Foundation, a non-profit organization established to promote leadership skills in at risk children.
