Mike L. Vinson, CPA, Macc

Mike Vinson is the managing partner of Vinson, Scott & Associates CPAs, RLLP. Prior to joining Vinson, Scott & Associates CPAs, RLLP, Mike was Director of Business Valuation and Litigation Support at Sink, Gillmore & Gordon LLP, a regional public accounting firm in Kansas. He began his career in public accounting in 1996.

Mike has 20 years in business appraisal and litigation support services. He has been involved as an expert witness and provided testimony in many litigation cases, primarily for divorce cases.

In addition to the above, Mike provides tax compliance, tax research and tax planning services. Mike was previously involved in the securities industry, and assists with financial planning.

Mike earned a B.S. in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting, from Kansas State University in 1995 and remained to earn a Masters of Accountancy in 1996. He is licensed in Wyoming and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA.

Cindy Roantree Butera

Cindy has many years experience in the Jackson Hole Hospitality and Accounting industry using her expertise to assist a wide variety of client accounting needs. A Business Administration graduate from the University of New Hampshire, Cindy has been working in the valley for 30 years and has been with Vinson, Scott & Associates CPAs, RLLP for over 15 years.

For clients who require support in doing their own bookkeeping, Cindy has developed a broad range of techniques to implement a QuickBooks accounting system for our clients. Cindy provides comprehensive hands-on support, trouble shooting and problem solving. She works alongside our clients to assist them in becoming more efficient in managing their daily bookkeeping. For our clients who prefer full-service bookkeeping, Cindy provides payroll services, preparation and reconciliation of bank statements, general ledgers, and accounts payables and receivables. Cindy also prepares state employment reports, state employment tax and worker’s compensation payments.

Since 2009 Cindy continues being certified annually, through advanced skill training, as a QuickBooks ProAdvisor. This certification identifies Cindy as a qualified expert in the QuickBooks Accounting Software, both desktop and online.

Cindy’s experience with the Hotels and Resorts and Travel industries provide her with a strong knowledge base of the Jackson Hole business climate and its relationship and often, dependence on, the tourism industry. Cindy works closely with the CPAs in our firm to provide the most comprehensive business strategies for our clients.

Cindy has a strong community connection through her current and past involvements with the Alpine Parks and Recreations District, Jackson Hole Therapeutic Riding Association, Wyoming Special Olympics, Jackson Hole Arts Festival, Jackson Community Band and the Jackson Hole Ambassadors.

Regena L. Field, CPA

Regena L. Field is a senior advisor for Vinson, Scott & Associates CPAs, RLLP. She has provided financial and tax consulting services to individuals and closely-held businesses since 1982. Her expertise includes estate planning and design, trustee services and oversight, business valuations, income tax planning, and asset management. Regena is involved with a diverse client base including high wealth families, trusts, health care professionals, and business executives.

Extensive knowledge of business and tax strategies contributes to financial security and enhanced wealth for her clients.

Her public accounting experience includes buy-sell negotiations, strategic tax planning, retirement planning, individual, estate and trust tax planning and preparation.

Regena earned a B.S. in accounting from Arizona State University in 1978. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Society of Women Accountants, and the Wyoming Society of Certified Public Accountants. She is a founding member of the Network of Estate Planning CPA’s. She has served on many non-profit boards as Treasurer. She has previously served as treasurer for the Jackson Hole Land Trust and Community Children’s Project. Regena is currently a board member of Wyoming Children’s Society. Regena teaches and participates in family estate planning and charitable giving workshops for individuals and other CPA professionals.

Drew Scott, CPA

Drew Scott is a junior partner of Vinson, Scott & Associates CPAs, RLLP. Drew joined the firm in July 2019. Drew is a certified public accountant with over 10 years’ experience in the accounting field helping clients with their personal and business tax returns, financial statements, payroll, and day to day financial operations. Drew is a proficient user of the accounting software QuickBooks and is a former QuickBooks Pro Advisor.

Drew earned a B.S in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting and finance, from Kansas State University in 2010. After graduation from Kansas State University, Drew joined Varney and Associates CPAs as a staff accountant and was later promoted to senior accountant. In November 2014, Drew accepted the position of chief financial officer of Mathis Rehab Centers, LLC in Manhattan, KS. These positions have helped Drew cultivate his accounting skills and understand the real-world issues of business operations.

Drew is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Wyoming Society of Certified Public Accountants.
